A broadly-used Java logging library “Apache Log4J” has been revealed to include dangerous vulnerability within it, leaving users of popular Java-based apps like Minecraft exposed to hacks. The hack was given a severity rating of 10 on Apache Software Foundation’s Common Vulnerability Scoring System, the highest possible score.

In order to protect yourself from this powerful Zero Day, we recommend to, if downloaded, follow this guide on how to protect yourself and get your Minecraft install up to date, as well as updating any other apps requesting it when prompted.
