Windows 11 Release Date/Required Hardware Officially Announced

News

Following the controversial announcement off Windows 11 in June, in which they announced a large proportion of current Windows 10 computers will be incapable of running Windows 11, Microsoft has revised the required hardware specifications for running Windows 11, as well as given a concrete release date of the operating system.

Here are the specifications required in order for your computer to be capable of running Windows 11: At least 1 GHz or faster with 2 or more cores, on a 64-bit processor, 4 GB of ram, and 64 GB or more of storage space. If you need help finding what hardware your computer has, you can find a full guide to finding your specifications here. If your computer is not up to date with the specifications, Microsoft recommends to consider upgrading or replacing your PC.

Finally, Windows 11 will begin being rolled out on October 5th, with rollouts continuing into mid-2022.
