AI to Be Used to Monitor Social Care Patients

Artificial Intelligence

The software startup Lilli Technologies plans to employ an monitoring AI to monitor and analyze behaviors of 100 social-care patients in a test run of the technology. The system consists of sensors installed within patients’ homes that track behavior and electricity usage, and can detect small changes in behavior that may be telling of more serious issues.

The pilot trial of the technology is slated to take place in England, and will consist of 100 households being setup with an average of 6 to 9 sensors each. Lilli expects the system to save 780 hours of support visits and save £250,000 per year in costs for Dorset Council, the location of the pilot run.
