Following iOS 14.6s release in may, iPhone users have discovered a flaw with the updated operating system. Certain apps were excessively draining the battery of iPhones, causing accelerated battery usage.
One source, from ZDNet, recommends going to the Battery screen of the settings app (Settings > Battery) and uninstalling then reinstalling any apps with higher battery drain than normal. One culprit of this issue was the Podcast app. Apple has not yet released a statement regarding the issue as of writing.
