Blockchain Project TON, a non-profit association of developers and enthusiasts, has launched the first unlimited bridge for ERC-20 tokens from Ethereum to natively wrapped fungible tokens (Jettons) on TON. The bridge will enable users to transfer their tokens between Ethereum and TON seamlessly. According to the foundation, the bridge is designed to offer a seamless transactional interface between the two blockchains. This development is a significant milestone for the TON ecosystem, which will now be able to bridge Wrapped Bitcoin (wBTC), Tether tokens (USDt), USD Coin (USDC), and Dai (DAI) seamlessly.
At launch, users will only be able to bridge over four assets. Going forward, the TON Foundation intends to make more tokens available for bridging soon. This will enable users to transfer a wider range of assets between Ethereum and Project TON.
The foundation has also collaborated with prominent blockchain security firms to ensure the security and reliability of the bridge. CertiK, a smart contract auditor, Quantstamp, a specialist auditor in the blockchain space, and Hexens, a smart contract auditor, conducted audits on the bridge. While validators voted on the formation, CertiK and Quantstamp conducted end-to-end audits on the Project TON blockchain.
White hat hackers have also been welcomed to test the security integrity of the unlimited bridge through a hackathon in 2022. The TON Foundation’s commitment to security and reliability is evident through its collaboration with prominent blockchain security firms and the invitation to white hat hackers.

Telegram recently added a new feature that enables users to send each other Tether, the world’s largest stablecoin, on the Tron blockchain. The new feature expanded the app’s facility for crypto payments, enabling users to buy, swap, and make P2P trades with TRC20. This allowed users on the instant messaging service to directly send USDT to their peers with no transaction fees.
The integration of Tether with Telegram and the launch of the first unlimited bridge for ERC-20 tokens from Ethereum to Project TON highlight the growing trend towards interoperability between different blockchains. The ability to transfer assets between different blockchains seamlessly and securely will be a significant factor in the growth of the blockchain industry.
