Recently, it was revealed that the tech giant Facebook suffered a major leak of information, including the personal information of 533 million of its users. This amounts to roughly 7% of the world’s population, including their full names, phone numbers, and emails, released online. The leak was originally revealed in 2019 but was previously private amongst online groups, but with the release of the database online, the information within it is now public.
This all begs the question, was I included in the leak? The simplest way to find this out is by inputting your email address into haveibeenpwned.com.
Any leaks involving your information will be revealed there, allowing you to know which passwords you might have to change, if any.
