AWS’ Elastic File System, otherwise known as Amazon EFS, provides an easy, serverless elastic file system for sharing data across multiple AWS serverless services. This important service has recently had a new storage class added, allowing for cheaper and equally reliable storage alternatives for smaller storage needs. Costing roughly 47% less than its larger counterparts, as long as 80% or more of the data stored is infrequently accessed, this new storage class, named Amazon EFS One Zone, is available.

For more information about how to get started with Amazon EFS One Zone storage, see this blog post detailing it further.
